- As of 7th February 2022, certificates of exemption from vaccination against COVID-19 are issued exclusively in digital format in order to verify the validity of them through a QR code, similarly to what already happens with the green certifications and they will be valid only on national territory.
- The certification is associated with a unique vaccination exemption code (CUEV) through which the digital exemption with QR code can be downloaded.
- Via SMS or email will be sent an AUTHCODE, a code which can be used alternatively of CUEV code to obtain the certification through the same methods as the Green Pass.
- The exemption certificate from COVID-19 vaccination is not a green certification, it is considered valid only in Italy (until the date shown on certificate), but it can be used to access places and services where a Green Pass is required.
- Those who already possess an exemption certificate on paper have time until February 27 to apply for the new digital certification with the QR code, after that they will no longer be considered valid.
- In order to obtain a digital certification the citizen can ask to his general practitioner or to a vaccination HUB managed by the ASST of competence.
- All those who, due to the presence of specific documented clinical conditions, cannot be vaccinated or for whom vaccination must be postponed, are entitled to an exemption certificate.
- The validity of exemption certifications depends on the specific clinical condition that justified their issuance and is indicated in the certification itself. In case of SARS-CoV-2 positivity, exemption certifications are also revoked and then automatically reactivated upon recovery.
